Surprise

Yesterday Ryan dropped by the office to give me our anniversary gift. He and Rachel are so kind and generous to us. I cannot believe he gave us a wonderful gift certificate to mine and Jim's favorite restaurant - the Washoe Grill. I can't wait to use it.
This weekend is going to be a relaxing one. It is supposed to be 70 degrees and I want to take advantage of it by getting out there and walking. My birthday is coming upon me and I have 10 pounds to lose before I go back home to visit my family. I also want to get some scrapbooking done. I am in hopes of getting this year caught up so that I can work currently and on everything from 2008. Here's to a great one!!

Twenty Years

Today Jim and I celebrated our twentieth anniversary. Wow!!! It seems like just a few years have gone by. We aren't ones to celebrate too much so Jim decided to pick up a rotisserie chicken from Safeway and then he picked up Quantum of Solace. We watched it after dinner and then followed that with Survivor. And of course, we were doing laundry at the same time. Some things never change. Jim gave me iTunes and Starbucks gift cards and I gave him an iTunes gift card - great minds think alike.

Wine Tasting and the Eden Vale Inn

We took a trip last weekend over to Placerville with Al and Roberta. We stopped in Auburn for dinner. I had never been to Old Town Auburn, what a darling little place. I think that we need to take some time and wander around in the little shopes and sip a glass of wine at Carpe de Vino. Dinner was at the Ale House. It was awesome and the sweet potato fries were to die for.

We then headed for the Eden Vale Inn. This is a cute place that is a renovated barn. The people that own it are relatives of Al's friend MaryBeth. It is not open yet so it was a trial run for the owners. Our room was beautiful.
On Saturday we went to four wineries: Dillians, Sobon, Dobra and TooGood. It was fun to wine taste in Amador County. My only complaint were the winding, twisting roads - I was car sick!! Doesn't make for a good stomach to taste wine on.

Something To Think About

I saw this saying on a set of espresso cups at Starbucks. They were tied together with a brown grosgrain ribbon and an ivory tag. It read:

Sit
Talk
Write
Read
Eat
Listen
