Gift Bags and Tags
I am officially tired!!! Tonight I finished my mom's calendar and then moved on to gift bags and wine tags. In the midst of all the confetti-like pieces from the die cuts, I made a total of five bags and nine wine bottle tags. I used the Silhouette to cut out all the pieces. The idea for the wine tag was found on a blog (sorry, I for the life of me, cannot remember where). With the idea in mind I used the door hanger design from the Silhouette store and made the size of the hanger and the hole just a little smaller. Then I scored them and put the circle, snowflake and tags on them. Now J needs to just sign his name on the tags and put them on the bottles. The joy gift bag will be used for my work ornament exchange tomorrow night.

Yes!
I am so proud of myself! I finally figured out how to add the time slots in our office practice software. The schedule ends on 12/31/2010 and our programmer has passed away. There are few people to be found that write programs in Microsoft Access in Reno. I contacted the community college and found an instructor of Access. Together we got the basics but I figured out the last straw. The schedule runs by 15 minute time slots so it will take a while to get each day entered but at least we don't have to buy a whole new program!

I have been on a roll (for me anyway). Several layouts are on my table awaiting either a photo or scan so that they can be put up here on the ol' blog. Stay tuned . . .

Do opposites really attract?
I have been reading blogs this afternoon and came across a blog post entitled "so I married a boiled sweet.....". She talks about her husband's lack of enthusiasm for the holidays and her Christmasaholic ways. They are obviously very opposite, much like Jim, or "Jolly" as his friends so affectionately call him, and little ol' me. When we first married we went out and cut a tree down and he grumpily put it the stand muttering the whole time. When we bought the house we live in now we decided on Berber carpet that was a lovely shade of white (what the heck were we thinking?) Jim decided no more pitch. Lovingly he sent me with credit card in hand to Display Design for the dreaded fake tree, but alas no more pitch on the carpet. Each year he dutifully gets the tree down and allows me to put it up all by myself, isn't that so nice of him?
This year brings a new beginning for us, three little grandbabies to fill the house on Christmas Day! I bet he will turn into a Christmasaholic too! The keys on the keyboard will be worn out from typing in www(dot)amazon(dot)com and then "toys" in the search bar!
So, maybe opposites do really attract and eventually become one,
