New Scanner!!!!!
I received my scanner in the mail today. At first I thought no way this is awful.....blah, blah, blah, blah..... I left it for a while and came back and found an easier way to stitch the pages. My only wishes are that the shadow could be lessened in the merge and the color could be more true to life. I might have to call Canon tomorrow or Friday to see what they have to say. I am happy I can finally post layouts to my blog and even to 2P's if I feel like it.

Wedding Dresses
I went shopping with Rachel for her wedding dress today. She looked so beautiful in all of the gowns. She was so cute.... Each dress she would say I like it but it's not the one. Then came the one. She loved it before it was even taken out of the bag. Then when she put it on she knew it was the one. She loved it!!! So we bought it.

Valentine Treats
I made these cute wrappers for hersey bars for Valentine's Day. I think they came out pretty cute!!
I bought myself a new scanner today!! It was only available online at Circuit City and offered free shipping and 3 months no interest. It should be here on the 21st. Guess I should get some scrapping done so I will have something to scan.
Tomorrow I am going with Rachel to look for a dress. Should be fun! Then dinner tomorrow night to celebrate her birthday.

Time Flies
Ten days have passed... Well my computer is no better than it was ten days ago. I had 2G of memory installed for $115.00 and SAM is running so slow. At least the other students in the class are having the same problems. Makes me feel not so all alone.
Chicago was quick and fairly easy. We got through the site visit and the budget in pretty much record time. I didn't get out except for dinner and to pick up a sandwich next door. When we left to go to the airport the temp was 35 below with the wind chill factor. It was supposed to be 60 degrees here in Reno. I therefore decided to pack my jacket in my bag because after all I was only going from the hotel to the cab and the cag into the airport. Well the Southwest line was way to long for Pat so she, Brenda and I went out to curbside check in. It was so fricking freezing.... Good thing we only had to wait about 5 minutes and I was happy that I had my gloves.
Sitting in the airport having lunch I saw Dave Christensen. He, Kris and Chris Padgett had been to Louisville for the game and came home through Midway. Kris saved me a seet on the plane and we chatted to help pass the time away. Who would have thought I would run into them in the Chicago airport?

WASTED DAY!!!
Well, I successfully wasted an entire day (13 long hours) working on my computer. First, I uploaded a movie last night that was a rental from iTunes. It was on my computer but would not sync. So I went through all the upgrades and thought ah ha!! Well much to my dismay after about 90 minutes I emailed iTunes. They tell me that my 5th generation iPod is not compatible for rental movies. They are kind enough to refund me my $3.99.
Then I uploaded a free book at audible.com. At least that worked out for me and is on my iPod and I will have something for my long journey to Chicago on Friday.
Next, lets move on to my Excel 2007 class. I uploaded all the items for the practice and testing portion and wah lah!!!!!!!!!!!! My computer now moves at the pace of a snail on it's death bed. Okay so I call technical support and they tell me - I didn't need to upload all that stuff (I read the instructions and it did not tell me that for Vista I do not need all of that). So we worked around and he says the only thing I can tell you is to uninstall and reinstall the last two steps. So, three hours later it is still slow. I then decide that I still have 43 days left on my Dell Service Control. After 90 minutes he tells me that it is probably because I only have 512 mg of RAM. Vista takes all that just to run..... and at that it will still run slow. So he suggested buying more memory from Dell and then install it myself...... Thanks for nothing............. I have decided to call the computer place that we use at work and do a little investigating and then take it and buy and have the guy install it there. I will not be able to take exams for the class because they are timed if I don't upgrade the memory. I checked on line and Dell sells 1 gb for $38. I am hoping I can buy 2 gb and have it installed for $75 to $100. I am wishing myself luck on this one.
Needless to say I did not get much done on my valentine goodies. I am off to work on that right now. Again, I am wishing myself luck on that because I want to get 6 treats done to take to my chickas in Chicago!!!
Oh, and lest I forget - It snowed last night and it is snowing again tonight. What is a day without snow fall like. I can't remember.
